Govt approves raising EUR 335 mln from European Commission for recovery – PM

KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the attraction of assistance of EUR 335 million for reconstruction from the European Commission, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.

“Our partners are actively helping us in the direction of recovery. In particular, today, we are approving an agreement on financing the program on the European Union Support for recovery and reforms. After its signing, the European Commission will provide EUR 335 million of assistance,” Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

According to the prime minister, the funds will be used to restore infrastructure, including energy, business assistance, anti-corruption measures, environmental protection and digitalization.
