By KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the list of energy products that are imported into Ukraine without paying import duties and VAT for the passage of the winter, including components for the production of generators and other energy equipment in Ukraine, relevant resolution No. 1340 dated November 29 was published on the website of the government.
"With this step, the government corrected its previous one-sided decision, when it exempted ready-made imported generators and other equipment from import duties and VAT, but did not exempt from them the components from which the relevant goods are produced in Ukraine, which put domestic producers in a deliberately worse position in terms of compared with importers," MMP Dmytro Kysylevsky said, commenting on the decision on Facebook.
He thanked the Ministry of Economy for help in making the decision.
In addition, inverters, synchronous generators starting from 7.5 kVA, as well as systems for providing satellite access to the Internet and thermometers are included in the list of preferential imports along with generators.
