KYIV. Nov 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the state program for providing housing for youth until 2026, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
“Today, the government will extend the state program for providing housing for youth until 2026, thanks to which hundreds of young Ukrainian families will have the opportunity to receive preferential loans for their own housing. Thanks to this program, more than UAH 1 billion will be invested in housing construction, and this will mean new jobs, taxes, development of communities,” Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Friday.
According to him, the program provides for co-financing from local budgets, and communities, in his opinion, should actively use this opportunity.
“We expect that local authorities will join in much more actively, because more than anyone else they should be interested in young families living and working in their communities,” Shmyhal concluded.
