Govt simplifies obtaining confirmed localization degree for goods not previously produced in Ukraine – PM

KYIV. Nov 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made it easier for new goods that were not previously produced in Ukraine to receive a confirmed degree of localization, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.

“Another decision aimed at supporting our economy concerns changes to the procedure for confirming the degree of localization of the production of goods. In particular, we will change the procedures to make it easier for new goods that have not previously been produced in Ukraine to receive a confirmed degree of localization,” Shmyhal said at government meeting on Friday.

According to him, it concerns specialized trucks, aerial platform trucks, new models of buses and vehicles.

“This will make it possible to support Ukrainian manufacturers during government procurement. Those who are now investing in new production, new lines, new developments will have incentives from the state,” Shmyhal said.
