KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The commissioning of housing in Ukraine in January-September 2023 grew by 13% compared to the same period in 2022, to 5.452 million square meters, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to the report, 3.258 million square meters have been put into operation in urban areas since the beginning of the year of housing (59.8% of the total), and 2.193 million square meters in rural areas.
In total, 66,500 apartments were put into operation during the reporting period, which is 9.2% more than in January-September 2022. At the same time, 16,000 apartments were introduced in single-apartment buildings, 50,500 in multi-apartment buildings.
Based on the results of January-September 2023, the most of housing was commissioned in Kyiv region (more than 1 million square meters, 18.5% of the total), in Kyiv (837,900 square meters, 15.4%), Lviv region (542,300 square meters), Vinnytsia (506,800 square meters), Ivano-Frankivsk (402,300 square meters) and Zakarpattia regions (263,100 square meters).
According to statistical data, an increase in the volume of housing commissioning was recorded in all regions of Ukraine, except for five regions. The largest increase compared to last year was shown by Kharkiv region, where 186,400 square meters were commissioned in January-September, which is 385.8% higher than the same period last year.
At the same time, a drop in the volume of completed housing was recorded in five regions. Thus, in Odesa region, 217,600 square meters were commissioned., which is 57.2% less than in January-September 2022, in Poltava – 105,000 square meters (46.8% down), Zaporizhia – 7,900 square meters of housing (25.3% down), Chernihiv region – 47,200 square meters (21.6% down), and in Zhytomyr region – 79,500 square meters (11.1% down).
The data are given taking into account housing commissioned in accordance with the temporary procedure for accepting into operation houses built without permission to carry out construction work, the State Statistics Service said. Also, the information is provided without taking into account the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation and parts of the territories where military operations are (were) ongoing.
As reported, the commissioning of housing in Ukraine at the end of 2022 fell by 37.8% compared to 2021, to 7.11 million square meters.
