KYIV. May 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On May 3, 2023, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) successfully conducted an inspection at Khmelnytsky NPP as part of an agreement between Ukraine and the IAEA under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
“The purpose of the inspections is to verify the absence of undeclared nuclear materials and information on the design of the nuclear facility provided by Ukraine under the agreement,” the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine said on its website on Friday.
The check was conducted by the inspector of the agency with the participation of the t inspector of the State Nuclear Regulatory Agency.
“There were no comments from the IAEA inspector,” the inspectorate said.
