Iceland to allocate $3 mln to support Ukraine in winter – FM

KYIV. Dec 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Iceland promises to allocate another $3 million to support Ukraine during the winter period, Icelandic Foreign Minister Thordis Kolbrun Gylfadottir said.

"To support Ukraine through winter, Iceland is pledging a total of further $3 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund and in budgetary support through the World Bank. This is a crucial time to help Ukraine defend against barbaric attacks," she said on Twitter.

As reported, the joint contribution of assistance to Ukraine following the results of the Standing with the Ukrainian People international conference in Paris on December 13 reached EUR 1 billion.
