IDLO representative office to appear in Ukraine – draft agreement

KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft agreement on the establishment of a representative office of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) in Ukraine.

As the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, said on his Telegram channel, the decision was made at a government meeting on Friday.

In particular, a draft agreement was approved between the government of Ukraine and the IDLO on the establishment of a representative office of this organization in Ukraine.

The draft agreement determines the procedure for establishing a representative office of the IDLO in Ukraine and granting privileges and immunities to officials and personnel of the relevant organization.

The International Development Law Organization (IDLO) is the only global intergovernmental organization dedicated solely to promoting the rule of law to promote peace and sustainable development. IDLO was founded as an intergovernmental organization in 1988 and has had observer status with the UN since 2001.
