KYIV. Jan 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A banker of the KBC group, an independent member of the supervisory board, Rostyslav Futalo heads the new supervisory board of the state-owned Ukreximbank (Kyiv).
According to information in the system disclosed by the National Securities and Stock Market Commission on Tuesday, he was elected chairman of the supervisory board at a meeting on January 22.
From 2020 to the present day, Futalo has been working in the Belgian banking group KBC and in the merchant bank CSOB under a long-term consulting agreement in the area of digitalization (the financial institution operates in the Czech Republic and Slovakia), and since 2019 he has been an active consultant at Respeecher.com regarding partnerships and connections between U.S. and Ukrainian investors in the European Commission.
From 2017 to 2022, the banker worked at the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME), as an expert on the Horizon 2020 program, and was also a board member responsible for international business at the Intecracy Group (2017–2020).
Futalo also continues to serve as a member of the financial committee of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of St. Barbara (Austria) since 2014.
As reported, the updated Ukrexim supervisory board held its first meeting on January 15 after a long break.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of November 1, 2023, Ukreximbank ranked third in terms of total assets (UAH 255.01 billion) among 63 banks operating in the country.
