KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Interdepartmental Working Group on the Implementation of the Sanctions Policy has recommended that proposals be submitted to the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) for the application of sanctions against 1,300 representatives of law enforcement agencies and 500 representatives of the IT sector of the Russian Federation, according to the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine on Monday.
As Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko said, it is about sanctions against more than 500 legal entities and individuals in the IT sector of the Russian Federation: software or equipment manufacturers, companies and individuals associated with social networks, various platforms used by the Putin regime for propaganda.
"The Interdepartmental Working Group also recommended submitting proposals for the adoption of sanctions against 1,300 representatives of Russia’s law enforcement agencies, in particular, the FSB, the foreign intelligence service, the National Guard of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the judiciary, to the NSDC for consideration. That is, against persons directly involved in crimes in Ukraine and against Ukraine," Svyrydenko added.
The Ministry of Economy recalled that in general, over the four months of the work of the group, the National Security and Defense Council decided to impose sanctions against 3,134 individuals and 1,374 legal entities.
