JYSK opens new store in Ivano-Frankivsk, renovated one in Kyiv

KYIV. Dec 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JYSK, a chain of furniture and home goods stores, has opened a new store in Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as a renovated one in Kyiv.

According to the press service of the network, the store in the MENS shopping center at 201g Halytska Street became the second JYSK facility in Ivano-Frankivsk. Its area is 1,241 sq m. In addition, the new store is equipped with a generator, and will work during power outages.

New lighting, a mattress studio and a cash desk were installed in the renovated store in the Lavina Mall shopping center in Kyiv, and the retail and storage area was increased. Its area after renovation is 1,244 sq m.

"JYSK continues to open new stores, following the strategy of being closer to the buyer. Our primary goal is to satisfy the needs of Ukrainians in the necessary goods, as well as to make the buying process as comfortable as possible," JYSK Regional Manager in Ukraine Yevhen Ivanytsia said.

With the opening of a new store in Ivano-Frankivsk, the retailer’s network has increased to 83 stores in Ukraine.

The JYSK network began to develop in Ukraine as a b2c business in 2004. As of February 24, 2022, some 85 chain stores were operating. Earlier, JYSK plans for 2022 included expanding the network in Ukraine to 100 stores.

On the international market, the JYSK network has more than 3,200 stores in 48 countries, mainly in Europe.
