ASTANA. Sept 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Inflation in Kazakhstan was 0.7% in August compared with 0.6% in July 2023, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.
Annual inflation reached 13.1%.
Food prices were unchanged, nonfood goods went up 0.5% and services 1.9% in August.
In annual terms, compared to the same month last year, food prices went up 12.4% in August and 13.5% in July, non-foods prices rose 13.5% and 15%, respectively, and service charges 13.8% and 13.6%.
Inflation was 20.3% in 2022.
