KCBW intends to cover loss for 2021 at expense of deferred profit

KYIV. Nov 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PJSC Kriukov Car Building Works (KCBW, Kremenchuk, Poltava region) intends to cover the loss received during financial and economic activities in 2021 at the expense of future profits.

The draft decision on the issue of approving the received losses and the procedure for their repayment is proposed to be considered by the shareholders at the meeting on December 28.

"According to the results of the company’s activities for 2021, the loss is UAH 229.989 million. Taking into account the income from the revaluation of actuarial liabilities, according to the calculation of an independent actuary valued at UAH 67.558 million, to approve the total loss for 2021 in the amount of UAH 162.431 million," the draft decision says.

According to the company’s information on the agenda of the shareholders’ meeting, as of January 1, 2022, the uncovered loss of KCBW amounted to UAH 162.43 million versus retained earnings of UAH 99.05 million a year earlier.

Current liabilities by the beginning of the year amounted to UAH 1 billion 455 million, which is 4.2 times more, noncurrent liabilities were UAH 217.8 million (20% less). Its assets were worth UAH 4.855 billion, including total accounts receivable being UAH 973 million.

The shareholders also intend, in particular, to approve the reports of the management bodies, determine the audit company BDO LLC to audit the financial statements for 2022, and select an audit commission for a period of three years.

According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, as of the fourth quarter of 2021, Estonian AS Skinest Finants and Osauhing Delantina own 25% of the shares of PJSC KCBW, 20% belonged Transbuilding Services Limited registered in England (20%).

At the same time, as reported, a 25% stake in PJSC (worth more than UAH 21.5 million), owned by the Austrian OW Capital Management GmbH, which is controlled by Stanislav Gamzalov, the head of the board of directors of the Russian railcar manufacturer Plant of Metal Structures, was transferred to the management of ARMA by a court decision.

KCBW, the largest Ukrainian car building enterprise, produces passenger and freight cars, regional diesel trains, high-speed interregional locomotive-hauled trains, spare parts and bogies for freight cars.
