Kernel allocates more than quarter of its land bank for winter wheat in 2023

KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kernel, one of the largest Ukrainian agro-industrial groups, allocated 27% of its land bank for sowing winter wheat in 2023, the press service of the agricultural holding reported on Facebook.

According to the report, when carrying out sowing, the agricultural holding used precision farming technologies. This allows increasing sowing efficiency and minimizing the likelihood of human error.

“As a result, this increases yields and reduces production costs,” the report emphasizes.

As reported, in 2022, Kernel occupied 60,700 hectares with winter wheat, which accounted for 17% of its land bank.

Before the war, the Kernel agricultural holding ranked first in the world in the production of sunflower oil (about 7% of world production) and its export (about 12%). It is one of the largest producers and sellers of bottled oil in Ukraine. In addition, the agricultural holding is engaged in the cultivation of agricultural products and their sale.
