By KYIV. Dec 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – KfW will provide Chernivtsivodokanal with a EUR 16.4 million grant for the modernization of the municipal water sector in Chernivtsi.
According to the press service of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the government approved the corresponding draft order on signing a grant and project agreement.
The grant funds will be used for the reconstruction of main water supply networks, pumping stations and treatment facilities, the purchase and installation of equipment – smart meters, repair and measuring instruments, chemical laboratory equipment, special vehicles, tools, etc.
The ministry recalled that the draft order was developed in pursuance of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers and the German government on financial cooperation dated December 17, 2020, ratified by the Verkhovna Rada on June 15, 2021.
