KYIV. May 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Kharkivenergozbut, which is managed by the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF), will pay UAH 64.2 million in dividends for 2022 to the state, which is 6 times more compared to 2021.
"This decision was made by the general meeting of shareholders of Kharkivenergozbut on April 24, 2023. Dividends will be paid through the depository system of Ukraine," the SPF website says.
According to the fund, the net profit of Kharkivenergozbut for 2022 amounted to UAH 198 million and, according to the decision of the general meeting, it will be distributed as follows: 50% – directed to the payment of dividends to shareholders, 10% – for expenses provided for by the financial plan for 2023, some 10% – transferred to the reserve capital and another 30% – to other funds of the company.
"Today, the state owns 65% of the company’s shares. Kharkivenergozbut supplies electricity to 1.25 million household consumers. Despite the difficult situation in Kharkiv and constant enemy shelling, during 2022 the company supplied consumers with 2.2 million MWh of electricity," the SPF said.
At the same time, due to untimely payments of consumers for electricity, the enterprise at the beginning of 2023 had a receivable in the amount of UAH 3.46 billion. In addition to the population, utility companies are among the largest debtors.
"These debts prevent Kharkivenergozbut from paying for electricity further down the chain in a timely manner. Therefore, the enterprise, together with the State Property Fund, is already working out an action plan that will make it possible to change the situation for the better," the Fund concluded.
