KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Kyiv Digital team shared a digest of digital services, which it presented at the Web Summit and Smart City Expo World Congress, head of digital transformation in Kyiv and deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych.

“We continue to implement modern solutions wherever users need it – and especially where speed, convenience and security are extremely important,” the press service of Kyiv City State Administration quoted Olenych on the official website on Tuesday.

The digest reportedly talks about a number of services that have been introduced in Kyiv.

In particular, a digital transport card is an opportunity for users to pay for travel with a bank card, taking into account discounts and convenient travel ticket rates.

In addition, as the press service reports, with the support of Visa, Apple Pay Express launched in Kyiv. “Thanks to this, you don’t need to authenticate through Face ID or open apps to pay for travel. You can pay for travel with this service even if your iPhone has 0% battery.”

Also, the capital of Ukraine has begun comprehensive digitalization of sports infrastructure. In addition, the digest reports on the results of the implementation of environmental monitoring of air cleanliness through the city application. “Citizens can check the cleanliness of the air around a selected point through Kyiv Digital. Also this year, monitoring of radiation levels was added to the service,” the press service of Kyiv City State Administration notes.

“The safety of the capital and its residents is one of the main priorities of the local authorities. The Safe City system helps emergency services and public utilities respond in a timely manner to various events that threaten the life and health of Kyiv residents,” the press service informs about another operating digital service in Kyiv.

In addition, as reported, Kyiv Digital has begun the process of digitalization of the Electronic Office of the Defender service, which will introduce electronic document flow between military institutions, and will also allow Defenders to interact with city institutions without additional registrations.

Electronic registration in the Administrative Services Center is another significant step towards the introduction of a paperless culture in city institutions. You can enroll in 18 administrative services centers in Kyiv and receive 59 different administrative services that are available for online registration.

“The tools of electronic democracy were highlighted in a separate block, namely: open voting for the public budget, signing petitions and active participation in polls, which allow the public to take a direct part in managing and improving the city. Kyiv is an indicator for entire Ukraine, and voting and petitions are the key success in building e-democracy,” the press service of Kyiv City State Administration emphasizes.
