Kyiv's Blockbuster Mall to reach 100,000 sq m of open stores by late 2023 – COO

KYIV. Dec 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyiv’s Blockbuster Mall has relaunched 84,800 square meters of retail space on December 1, Chief Operating Officer of the shopping center Dmytro Lashyn has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“At the end of December, stores will be opened on 98,600 out of 148,000 square meters of lettable space. On December 5-9, a sports cluster will be launched – Intersport, 4F, Marathon, Sport City; on December 20 – equipment, Comfi, Foxtrot, Cybernetics and others,” he said.

According to him, after the New Year, in January, it is planned to open children’s goods stores.

As reported, in the summer of 2023, the project partners decided to change the management team; the reconception developed by NAI Ukraine was presented in September. It involves expanding the functionality of the shopping center: a fitness center will open, a co-working space will appear, and several recreational attractions focused on different types of recreation. Work on this phase of the project is planned from spring 2024. Strategic plans include reaching 1.5 million visitors per month.

The total area of the Blockbuster Mall shopping center is 450,000 square meters, lettable is about 150,000. The opening of the anchor tenant of the shopping center – the Silpo supermarket – took place on November 20, 2019.

According to public registers, the beneficiary of Investbud Garant LLC (the formal owner of the Blockbuster Mall) is Oleksandr Spektor and Maryna Dorokhina.
