Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill increases production by 3.3% in Jan-Nov

KYIV. Dec 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of marketable products of Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), the industry leader in Ukraine in terms of this indicator, in January-November 2023 reached UAH 6.917 billion, which is 3.3% more than for the same period in 2022.

According to statistics from the UkrPapir association provided to Interfax-Ukraine, in kind, the production of corrugated boxes at the plant grew by 20.5%, to 209.2 million square meters.

Cardboard output rose by 7.1%, to 154,200 tonnes, due to an increase in the output of container board by 9.4%, to 125,700 tonnes, while boxboard slightly fell – by 1.7%, to 28,500 tonnes.

At the same time, the production of base paper for the manufacture of sanitary and hygienic products retains a downward trend: in January-November it fell by 18.3%, to 42,000 tonnes, and the production of toilet paper in rolls dropped by 20.3%, to 237.96 million units.

The plant, despite the decline in toilet paper production, remains a confident leader in its production in Ukraine. In general, in January-November 2023, the main industry enterprises in the country produced almost 559.85 million rolls (1.8% more).

According to statistical data, in November of this year, Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill increased the production of corrugated boxes by 9% by November 2022 and by 3% by October 2023, to 20.75 million square meters, paper and cardboard output fell by 12% and 5%, respectively, to 18,600 tonnes.

According to association data received from the main industry enterprises, in January-November 2023 in Ukraine, an increase in the production of paper and cardboard was recorded by 11.8% (to 504,260 tonnes), cardboard boxes – by 18.9% (to 479.25 million square meters).

Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill is one of the largest enterprises in Europe producing cardboard and paper products with a staff of more than 2,500 people.

As reported, in 2022, the plant produced products worth UAH 7.432 billion – 3.5% less than in 2021.
