Kyivstar plans to integrate AI elements into company's work with clients

KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The largest Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar plans to integrate elements of artificial intelligence (AI), in particular ChatGPT, into the company’s work with clients within a year and a half, said Kyivstar President Oleksandr Komarov.

“I think a year and a half is realistic, when we see the first elements of ChatGPT integration into Kyivstar’s work with clients,” he said during Business Breakfast with Forbes Ukraine on Wednesday.

According to Komarov, the company is now using its own resources, based on KyivstarTech, to add elements of artificial intelligence to those products that are already working.

Komarov also expects an increase in the number of AI and competition between their developers for the easiest integration of their products into business.

“I just expect that the number of these products will increase. The 21st century is about OpenAI. That is, they will compete, and they will compete through the desire for the easiest integration of their products into any others. That is, their task will enter the business processes of existing businesses, create value there and take money for this value,” said Komarov.

Kyivstar is the largest Ukrainian electronic communications operator, which as of September served 24 million mobile subscribers and more than 1.1 million Home Internet subscribers. The company provides services using a wide range of mobile and fixed technologies, including 4G, Big Data, Cloud solutions, cyber protection services, digital TV.

The shareholder of Kyivstar is the international group VEON, whose shares are listed on the NASDAQ (New York) and Euronext (Amsterdam) stock exchanges.
