KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets has addressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Polish counterpart Marcin Wiącek regarding the settlement of the situation on the border.
“According to the complainants, the places where the drivers have to stay are not designed for life support. There is no access to drinking water and food there which results into violation of the right to life which is guaranteed by Article 27 of the Constitution of Ukraine. Moreover, we already know about two deaths of Ukrainian drivers who were staying in the queue,” he said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.
The ombudsman emphasized that the issue is under his personal control.
