Mechanical engineers of DTEK Energy to start production of new tunnel boring machine in Jan 2023

KYIV. Dec 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The machine-building company Corum Group (DTEK Energy) intends to start production of a new model of tunnel boring machine for uninterrupted extraction of coal from especially hard rocks in January 2023, the company announced on Facebook.

"Mechanical engineers, in spite of everything, continue to improve equipment for the stable operation of coal mining enterprises. And now our specialists are working on the development of a roadheader RH110 of a new technical level," the message says on Wednesday.

According to Corum, the machine weighing about 53 tonnes, in addition to all the main technical solutions of the RH series, will become the most versatile, powerful and reliable equipment in its field.

"In the development of the giant, engineers use modern European components for better diagnostics of equipment parameters and operational reliability," the report says.

Design work is currently underway.
