KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As a result of the agreements in Stockholm, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov announced the development of relations between the countries and future cooperation in the fields of education and the economy, he also held talks on assistance in obtaining special equipment for the city.
“Today I had a number of important meetings in Stockholm. I can already tell you about the first agreements: soon Melitopol will have new partner and brother cities; I negotiated assistance in obtaining special equipment for the city; we have agreements on cooperation between the universities of Sweden and Melitopol; with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), we will develop an Economic Development Strategy,” the mayor said on his Telegram channel on Monday.
Fedorov thanked the Swedish partners, who, according to him, “are ready to help Ukraine and, in particular, the South, in the restoration of our region after the de-occupation,” he said.
