Ministry of Development, Ministry of Digital Transformation discuss reform of urban planning in Ukraine with G7 ambassadors

KYIV. Dec 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Representatives of the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Digital Transformation held a meeting with the ambassadors of the G7 countries and discussed a reform of the urban planning sector in Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mustafa Nayyem has said.

"For the third time, together with Oleksandr Kubrakov and Mykhailo Fedorov, we met with the ambassadors of the G7 countries on the issue of urban planning reform," he said on Facebook.

He said that the governments of these countries supported the creation of bill No. 5655 in one way or another and would monitor its implementation.

Nayyem recalled that representatives of all communities were invited to the reform monitoring working group, including those that are currently criticizing the bill. "Industry representatives will also be involved in this process in a transparent way," he stressed.

As reported, on December 13, the Verkhovna Rada adopted at the final reading bill No. 5655 on reforming the urban planning sector. Some 228 MPs voted for it. A petition demanding that the bill be vetoed has received more than 25,000 signatures and is awaiting consideration by the president.
