Ministry of Social Policy, UN World Food Program agree to continue cooperation on social service digitalization

KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Social Policy and the UN World Food Program in Ukraine have signed an agreement on financing the next stage of modernization of the Unified Information System for the Social Sphere.

"Our cooperation with the UN World Food Program is essential. Given the limited resources of the national budget, the financial support we receive under this agreement allows us to continue the effective digitalization of social services, and also ensures an increase in the level of accessibility of social services, including through automation and centralization processes of social protection, the development of information interaction and the creation of new electronic services for citizens," the ministry’s press service said.

The ministry’s said in a press release this agreement will ensure the modernization of the Unified Information System for the Social Sphere and will allow the implementation of a number of initiatives for Ukrainian citizens.

In particular, we are talking about the e-Aid program, subsidies, accounting and assistance to internally displaced persons, a centralized data bank on disability issues, accelerating interaction with citizens, as well as a social web portal for online work of external users.
