More than 5,000 Invincibility Points deployed in Ukraine, 100,000 people already used them – Tymoshenko

KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Some 5,200 Invincibility Points have been opened in various regions of Ukraine, 100,000 people have already used them in the past two weeks, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko has said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

"We are tirelessly preparing for different scenarios, deploying more and more Invincibility Points throughout the country. Over the past two weeks, 100,000 people have already used them. As of today, 5,248 points have been opened. All points are provided with generators," he said.

Some 4,098 points were equipped by effort of regional military administrations in cooperation with communities, 1,028 – by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Tymoshenko also said that 1.3 million places for temporary accommodation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been organized in 15 regions. According to him, 89% of them are taken, most of them are located in Vinnytsia, Poltava, Lviv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky and Kirovohrad regions. The majority of free places are in Rivne, Zakarpattia, Odesa, Zhytomyr, Poltava and Volyn regions.

Evacuation from the territories where active hostilities take place continues, he said. Some 317,800 people were evacuated since August 2.

As reported, on November 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that 4,362 Invincibility Points were deployed in Ukraine.
