NAPC lists PepsiCo, Mars as intl war sponsors

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has included two leading food corporations PepsiCo and Mars in the list of international sponsors of the war due to the continuation of their activities in the Russian Federation.

According to the Agency on Friday, despite the declaration of reduction of their business, cessation of advertising activities, and production of their products, they continue to work in the Russian Federation, paying significant taxes to its budget, thereby supporting the economy of the aggressor country. In addition to increasing their revenues in Russia in the first year of a full-scale invasion, both companies are actively looking for new employees in Russia.

According to media reports, the products of one of the companies were found in the food rations of Russian soldiers, the NACP said.

“Try both and decide. Whose side are you on? This is exactly what the slogan of one of the brands of the company that produces sweets and continues to work in Russia sounds like,” the NACP wrote on Telegram and added, probably, the manufacturers of Lay’s, Pepsi, Sandora, Snickers, M&M’s, Twix, Mirinda and many other well-known brands of sweets, chips and sugary drinks “have not themselves chosen whether they support aggression and authoritarianism, or take a position of socially responsible business.”
