Nearly 90 bulkers awaiting permission to enter Ukrainian ports under Black Sea Grain Initiative

NEW YORK (UN). Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Seven bulkers, which passed through the maritime humanitarian corridor last weekend under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, are on their way to Ukrainian ports, the Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) said.

"Over the weekend (5-6 November), seven inbound vessels transited the maritime humanitarian corridor under the Black Sea Grain Initiative heading towards Ukrainian ports," it said.

There are two vessels in Ukrainian ports under the grain initiative at the moment, the JCC said.

"There are currently 88 vessels waiting to move into Ukrainian ports plus 18 loaded vessels waiting for inspection in Turkish territorial waters," it said.

As of November 7, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports remains 10.067 million tonnes, the JCC said.
