KYIV. Dec 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) has determined the regulatory contribution fee for January-March 2024 at the level of 0.067% for payers carrying out activities regulated by the National Commission.
“This is lower than for the first quarter of 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 and lower than over the past five years,” the National Commission said at a meeting on Tuesday.
According to the current legislation, the size of the regulatory contribution fee is determined as a derivative of the amount of net income of regulatory contribution payers from the implementation of activities that are regulated by NEURC in the third quarter of 2023 by one fourth of the planned volume of the regulator’s financing needs for 2024.
As reported in the National Commission’s justification for the decision, the total amount of net income of regulatory fee payers from activities regulated by NEURC for the third quarter of 2023 reached UAH 317.088 billion, and one fourth of the planned volume of the regulator’s financing needs for 2024 was UAH 212.688 million.
Of this amount, expenses for remuneration of NEURC employees came to UAH 162.731 million.
