NEURC increases by 6% feed-in tariff for renewable energy generation in Q1 2023

KYIV. Jan 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) has revised upwards the amount of feed-in tariffs for the first quarter of 2023 for all types of renewable energy generation, taking into account the higher exchange rate of the euro.

The relevant resolutions were adopted at a meeting of the regulator on Friday.

Thus, based on the lists of renewable energy generation facilities and types of household generation specified in the annexes to the resolutions, the tariff for the specified period will be 6% higher than in the last quarter of 2022.

As stated in the justification for the draft resolutions, feed-in tariffs for electricity produced by business entities, generating plants of consumers, including energy cooperatives and generating plants of private households, are set for the next quarter, taking into account the average official hryvnia exchange rate to the euro exchange rate determined by the National Bank Ukraine for the last 30 calendar days preceding the date of the last NEURC meeting in the current quarter.

The average official hryvnia to euro exchange rate for the period from November 30, 2022 to December 29, 2022 at the level of UAH 3863.0393 per EUR 100 was taken into account.
