KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) is ready to fully contribute to the investigation of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) regarding the implementation of the Rotterdam+ formula, the commission said.
"The NEURC cooperates with the investigators, provides all the necessary materials and is ready to assist in every possible way to conduct a professional and impartial investigation," the regulator said.
At the same time, the NEURC hopes that as a result of this investigation, innocent people will not suffer, and the materials of the investigation will comply with current legislation.
As reported, the SAPO and the NABU on October 26 announced a new episode in the Rotterdam+ case for another UAH 20 billion, within which two former chairmen of the NEURC, six former and three incumbent members of the commission, as well as its incumbent and former employee are suspected.
In addition, the suspects include an incumbent and former official of a group of private heat generating companies.
"On October 26, 2022, the NABU and the SAPO reported on the suspicion of 15 persons involved in the implementation of the so-called Rotterdam+ formula, according to which electricity consumers illegally overpaid more than UAH 20 billion during 2018-2019," law enforcement officers said.
In the period 2018-2019, the NEURC was first headed by Dmytro Vovk and then Oksana Kryvenko.
