Nine Ukrainian banks violate regulations by early Nov – NBU

KYIV. Nov 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Regulatory capital ratio (H1, not less than UAH 200 million) as of November 1, 2022 was violated by Alpari Bank with an indicator of UAH 193.371 million, BTA Bank with UAH 179.954 million, Portal Bank with UAH 199.962 million and Forward Bank with a negative value of UAH 16 million, according to monthly statistics published on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) for the first time since the start of the full-scale war.

The regulatory capital adequacy ratio (H2 ratio, not less than 10%) was violated by Ukreximbank (6.79%) and Forward Bank (0%).

In addition, Ukreximbank and Forward Bank violated the core capital adequacy ratio (H3 ratio, at least 7%) with indicators of 3.41% and 0%, respectively.

The single counterparty exposure limit (H7 standard, no more than 25%) was violated by Ukreximbank (37.2%), Industrialbank (49.43%), Forward Bank (4.6 billion%) and PravexBank (27.34%).

The limit on bank total long open FX position (standard L13-1, no more than 5%) was violated by Oschadbank (200.5%), PrivatBank (914%), Industrialbank (21.5%) and Forward Bank (201 million percent).

Forward Bank also violated credit risk limits (H8) with an indicator of 132 billion percent, the related party transactions exposure limit (H9, should be no more than 25%) with an indicator of 3051% and the standard total short open currency position (standard L13-2, not more than 5%) with 852.5 million percent.
