KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Zero regulatory burden should become the basis of wartime economic policy, this is especially important today in the fuel and energy complex, says Volodymyr Popereshniuk, the co-founder of Nova Poshta.
"We need to eliminate licenses for generation, supply, sale of electricity, production, transportation, sale of fuel, oil and gas extraction," he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.
He stressed it is necessary to free the fuel and energy sector from monopolization, centralization and regulation.
"Certificates, licenses, permits should not slow down the economy and prevent entrepreneurs from adapting to radically new conditions. At the same time, ministries and departments should be reduced and regulation abolished. In wartime, there is only one goal – to protect the country," he said.
He added that excises, VAT on fuel, electricity, equipment for generating electricity should also be abolished.
As reported, in the spring, the government already zeroed excise taxes on fuel and import duties, and reduced VAT during the deficit, but then returned them. Preliminary agreements with the IMF provide that there will be no further similar tax breaks.
