Odesa region receives special firefighting equipment from Germany, power generators from UNDP – State Emergency Service

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Germany’s Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) has handed two specialized firefighting vehicles to Odesa region.

The press service of the Odesa regional directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said that rescuers received from the German partners a 32-meter-high Magirus ladder and a 5-tonne truck tank Volkan (MAN), the main equipment for the transportation of personnel, firefighting tools and water on call.

In addition, 24 power generators with a capacity of 5 kV, 10 kV and 15 kV will be distributed among the communities in Odesa region. The equipment was provided by the United National Development Program (UNDP).
