KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The large Ukrainian cable plant Odeskabel ended January-September of this year with a loss of UAH 4.38 million, which is 83.1% less than for the same period in 2022.

According to the interim reporting of the enterprise published in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, its net income increased by 19.1% – to UAH 1.318 billion.

The company received an operating profit of UAH 59.9 million (39% less than a year earlier), and gross profit increased by 7.6% to UAH 231.9 million.

According to Odeskabel, in January-September the largest share (39%) in total sales was made up of wires and power cables, the share of cables for structured cabling systems (LAN cable) was 23.7%, fiber optic cables – 16.23%.

The main risks for the company, according to the reports, remain the uncertainty of the timing of the end of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, dependence on the fact that prices for 90% of materials are formed on the world market, and the sales market is mainly Ukraine and neighboring countries, reduction by telecom operators of product purchases for capital construction and lack of government orders, presence of “gray” imports.

Odeskabel produces a wide range of copper and fiber-optic cables, digital or LAN cables, power cables, cords and wires.
