Opeka insurer reduces net premiums by 12% for nine months

KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Insurance Company Opeka (formerly Point, Kyiv) collected insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 7.966 million in January-September 2023, which is 12% less than in the same period a year earlier, according to the company’s report in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

Gross premiums decreased by 1.1% to UAH 8.081 million. Premiums transferred to reinsurance increased by 7.9% – up to UAH 851,000.

Administrative expenses increased by 30%, to UAH 5.181 million.

Financial loss from operating activities as of September 30, 2023 amounted to UAH 2.957 million, net loss – UAH 13,000.

Opeka has been operating in the insurance market since 2003. It specializes in risk insurance.
