Open discussions of tariff setting issues for monopolists in oil and gas sector suspended for period of martial law – NEURC

KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) has decided not to hold open discussions on the issues of setting tariffs for natural monopoly entities in the oil and gas sector for the period of martial law.

"Open discussions of issues on the need to establish tariffs for the services of natural monopoly entities in the oil and gas sector and changes in them, as well as draft relevant decisions of the NEURC shall not be held," the NEURC in the resolution on the settlement of certain issues of establishing tariffs for the services of natural monopoly entities in the oil and gas sphere during the period of martial law in Ukraine.

The decision was adopted at a meeting on Friday and entered into force on the same day.

As follows from the text of the document, the regulator, when adopting it, was guided by the provisions of NEURC resolution No. 349 dated March 26, 2022 on the protection of information that, under martial law, can be classified as information with limited access, including regarding critical infrastructure objects.
