Pharmacy sales in Ukraine grow by nearly 30% in Jan-July, remaining at last year's level in kind

KYIV. Sept 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Pharmacy sales in Ukraine in January-July 2023 grew by 29.95% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching UAH 13.221 billion. In terms of quantity, and sales rose by 1.33% to 94.974 million packages.

According to Business Credit, the weighted average price of pharmaceutical products in the first seven months of 2023 was UAH 139.21, which is 28.25% higher than the previous year.

Sales of medicinal products in pharmacies in January-July 2023 grew by 28.53% to nearly UAH 10.338 billion. In terms of quantity, they rose by 1.58% to 65.932 million packages. The weighted average retail price of medicinal products in the first seven months of 2023 was UAH 156.79, which is 26.53% higher than the previous year.

As reported, in January-June 2023, pharmacy sales grew by 19% in monetary terms compared to the same period in 2022, reaching UAH 84.126 billion. However, in terms of quantity, they dropped by 10.4% to 612.11 million packages. The weighted average price of pharmaceutical products in the first half of 2023 was UAH 137.44, which is 33% higher than the same period in 2022.

Pharmacy sales of medicinal products in the first half of the year reached UAH 65.96 billion (a 16.9% increase), while in terms of quantity, they decreased by 8.12% to 430.899 million packages.
