Pivdenkoks cuts coke production by 19.5% in nine months

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Pivdenkoks (Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region) in January-September of this year reduced production of metallurgical coke by 19.5% compared to the same period last year, to 430,000 tonnes.

A company’s representative told Interfax-Ukraine that in September the company produced 36,000 tonnes of metallurgical coke.

At the same time, he added that in January-September 2022, production of gross coke with 6% moisture content amounted to 497,000 tonnes, including 42,000 tonnes produced in September.

The plant produced 534,000 tonnes of coke in nine months of 2021, including 44,000 tonnes produced in September 2021.

Over eight months of 2022, the enterprise was supplied with 515,000 tonnes of domestic coal, 54,000 tonnes from Russia (before the war) and 45,000 tonnes from the United States. In September, another 68,700 tonnes of coal concentrate were delivered.
