By KYIV. Jan 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Insurance Company Premier Alliance (formerly Salamandra Ukraine, then Van Kleek) and PrJSC Insurance Company Alfa Insurance are excluded from members of the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU).
This decision was made at the general meeting of MTIBU members held on January 22, a meeting participant told Interfax-Ukraine.
The membership of Premier Alliance was terminated based on the company’s application in connection with the termination of its activities; all its funds were transferred to MTIBU to Salamander insurance company, Alfa Insurance – due to the loss of a license to provide compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of land vehicles (OSAGO).
As reported, on December 20, 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine canceled all licenses to carry out insurance activities of PJSC Insurance Company Premier Alliance and excluded information about it from the public register of financial institutions based on the company’s application.
On December 14, 2023, the NBU canceled all licenses of PrJSC Alfa Insurance (Kyiv) due to a violation of the regulations on licensing and registration of financial service providers, namely the inconsistency of the business reputation of the owners of substantial participation.
