KYIV. Oct 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prices for apartments in new buildings in Ukraine grow in October in almost all regions, most of all in Zakarpattia, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions, but slightly decrease in Kyiv city and the region, according to statistics from the LUN real estate portal.
"The shelling of Ukraine does not add confidence to investors, which negatively affects the number of transactions, but prices are higher compared to February in October in almost all areas," the portal said in the press release.
Thus, the greatest growth is still preserved in the western regions of Ukraine. Thus, in Uzhgorod the average price per square meter in October was $990, which is 22% higher than in February. Price in Lviv grew to $1,150 per sq. m. in October (20% more), in Chernivtsi to $860 per sq. m. (18% more).
At the same time, the median price in Kropyvnytsky rose by 22%, and in October amounted to $620 per sq. m.
In addition, prices in Dnipro grew to $1,130 per sq. m. in October versus February (12% higher), in Rivne to $740 per sq. m. (12% more), in Vinnytsia to $910 per sq. m. (11% more), in Ivano-Frankivsk to $580 per sq. m. (9% more). In Odesa, the growth was only 4%, to $970 per sq. m.
In a number of regions and Kyiv city, LUN recorded a slight drop in the median price for new apartments. So, in Kyiv in October the price dropped by 2%, to $1,190 per sq. m., in Kyiv region by 8%, to $690 per sq. m. Price reduction in Cherkasy amounted to 15% in October, to $520 per sq. m., in Poltava by 5%, to $740 per sq. m.
Prices also dropped in Lutsk – by 12%, to $600 per sq. m., in Zhytomyr by 2%, to $630 per sq. m., and in Khmelnytsky – by 2%, to $530 per sq. m.
At the same time, in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, as well as Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, the level of working construction sites and sales departments is still insufficient for statistics, LUN said.
