Prosecutor General on Zhevaho: this detention once again proves that everyone is equal before law

KYIV. Dec 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin, commenting on the detention of Ukrainian businessman and former MP Kostiantyn Zhevaho in France, has said that this case is proof that everyone is equal before the law.

"This detention once again proves that everyone is equal before the law, and everyone who is questioned by the Ukrainian law enforcement system will sooner or later answer before the domestic law," Kostin was quoted as saying by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

He also stated that the detention of Zhevaho is also clear evidence that the Prosecutor General’s Office maintains constant contacts with foreign colleagues and regularly cooperates with them so that all persons who may be involved in crimes against Ukraine or Ukrainians are brought to justice.

Earlier it was reported that at the request of the Ukrainian side, Ukrainian businessman and former MP Kostiantyn Zhevaho was detained at the ski resort in the French Alps Courchevel.
