KYIV. May 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Monday, the press service of the President’s Office said.
"Participants heard information about the consequences of recent air attacks by Russian troops and how to overcome them, discussed the possibilities of strengthening the protection of the population and civilian and critical infrastructure," the office said.
According to the press service, “reports were heard on the operational situation at the front and the plans of the invaders for the near future. The united strategic grouping of troops’ commanders reported on the course of hostilities in the sectors of the front within the responsibility of the operational-strategic groupings of Khortytsia, Tavriya, Odesa, Pivnich (North) forces.”
The participants of the meeting analyzed the state of provision of units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with weapons and ammunition, as well as the state of training and staffing of brigades with personnel and equipment.
Separately, a report was heard on the supply of artillery ammunition and missiles of all types for the needs of the Ukrainian troops in the current year, the office said.
