Raiffeisen Bank ends Q1 2023 with net profit of almost UAH 2.1 bln

KYIV. May 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Net profit of Raiffeisen Bank (Kyiv) in the first quarter of 2023 reached UAH 2.09 billion compared to a net loss of UAH 114 million for the same period in 2022.

According to the bank on Friday, its income in January-March this year rose by 65.8% and reached UAH 5.343 billion.

At the same time, the bank’s assets grew by UAH 2.1 billion, or 1.3%, and as of March 31, 2023, amounted to UAH 168 billion, while liabilities rose by 0.4%, to UAH 151.3 billion.

“Customer funds of legal entities at the end of the first quarter of 2023 were about UAH 87 billion and grew year-on-year by UAH 21 billion, or 32%, funds of individuals totaled UAH 57 billion and grew by UAH 9.2 billion year-on-year,” the bank said.

The bank reported that the number of corporate clients increased by 500, to 13,300, while individuals – by 90,000, and the total number of clients is 2.9 million.

Raiffeisen Bank added that its capital adequacy ratio at the end of the first quarter was 21.1%, with a bottom value of 10%, and its Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio was 15.5%, with a bottom value of 7%.

As reported, in terms of total assets (UAH 190.21 billion), Raiffeisen Bank ranked fourth among 65 operating Ukrainian banks as of March 1, 2023.
