By KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Countries that receive oil through the Ukrainian section of the Druzhba oil pipeline already understand that Russian missile strikes on Ukraine’s power system are the root cause of the pumping suspension, Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko said.
"When Ukraine is accused of something, one should always speak honestly about the consequences and the root cause. If a terrorist country destroys the power system, then it is absolutely obvious that there are problems with pumping without electricity," he said on the air of the national telethon.
According to the minister, this time, in contrast to the suspension of oil transportation after the Russian massive attack on the country’s energy facilities on November 15, no one tried to accuse Ukraine of improperly fulfilling its contractual obligations.
As reported, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban convened an emergency meeting of the Defense Council on November 15 due to the suspension of oil pumping through the Druzhba pipeline after Russian missile strikes on the Ukrainian power system.
