KYIV. Nov 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Czech railway operator RegioJet is working on integrating a ticket sales system for the train from Prague to Przemysl, where passengers transfer to the Ukrzaliznytsia train to Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, the owner of the railway company Radim Jančura said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, this would make it possible to avoid situations when a passenger finds out that the ticket he purchased for the Ukrzaliznytsia train is canceled literally before the trip. Jančura assured that in such cases RegioJet always returns funds.
“Purchasing Ukrzaliznytsia tickets is done manually. My Ukrainian colleagues and I are working to integrate the two systems so that they can sell tickets for our trains, receiving a commission and increasing income. In this matter, the ball is in Ukrzaliznytsia’s court. In any case, if such cases occur, passengers will be refunded the fare,” Jančura said.
