Remuneration system for civil servants based on job classification planned to be introduced from Jan 1, 2024

KYIV. Sept 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers instructed the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service to prepare for the introduction of a remuneration system for civil servants based on job classification from January 1, 2024.

“This decision instructed the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service to carry out activities, including the preparation and submission to the government of draft regulations for the introduction of a remuneration system for civil servants based on job classification from January 1, 2024. It, in particular, provides for strengthening the role of official salary, the introduction of a system of official salaries, where the size of the minimum grade cannot be less than the minimum wage,” Minister of Cabinet Minister Oleh Nemchinov said on Facebook with reference to the government’s protocol decision.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance, when preparing the draft law on the state budget for 2024, was instructed to provide for the standards necessary for the introduction of a remuneration system of civil servants based on job classification, and also to take into account that the size of the wage fund of a state body is determined taking into account the actual number of employees on July 1, 2023, increased by 10%.
