Restoration service in Dnipropetrovsk region gets aid of EUR 200,000 from Slovak govt for building trunk water line

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine has signed an agreement on charitable assistance with the Slovak Agency for International Cooperation and Development (SAIDC), the press service of the State Agency has reported.

A total of EUR 200,000 of assistance that the Restoration Service in Dnipropetrovsk region will receive from the Slovak government will be used for a pilot project for the construction of a trunk water line, implemented in accordance with government resolution No. 566 dated June 6, 2023.

As reported, the State Restoration Agency is building a trunk water line to minimize the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant by the Russian troops. The total project cost is now estimated at nearly UAH 13.5 billion. Prior to assistance from SAIDC, the project was implemented only at the expense of the state budget, namely from the Fund for Eliminating the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

At present, the Restoration Agency has launched the first line of water supply in the section Inhulets – South Reservoir, which made it possible to provide 25% of the water demand for Kryvy Rih. The construction of the 145-kilometer water line is planned to be completed in November this year.
