Romania highly appreciates grain export plan presented by Ukraine

KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania, Florin-Ionuţ Barbu, during an online meeting with Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky on Tuesday, highly praised the grain export action plan presented at a meeting of the coordination group at the European Commission, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said.

According to the message, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector between Ukraine and Romania, in particular the conditions and mechanisms for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Romania.

Barbu stressed that Romania would continue to help Ukraine in the issue of export and transit of agricultural products.

The Ukrainian minister thanked his Romanian colleague for his support and noted that Romania’s proposals for grain supplies are acceptable, and Ukraine is ready to take them into account.

The Ukrainian and Romanian ministers agreed to develop a joint plan for further cooperation within 30 days.
