KYIV. Jan 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has opened a criminal case against a former presenter at the television channels owned by former Member of Parliament Viktor Medvedchuk, who is suspected of high treason.

"Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine have launched a pre-trial investigation against a pro-Russian journalist, who worked for the television channels owned by Viktor Medvedchuk, who is suspected of high treason," the SBU said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justifying, recognizing lawful, denial of armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
